Why it Matters
Widgets contribute to better user adoption, feature awareness, and overall communication, giving users a higher chance of returning to use your application successfully again in the future.- Banners: can be used to show important global messages or notifications across your entire application.
- Modal Windows: can be used to show promotions, upsell, or cross-sell hints to nudge users towards a purchase.
- Hints: can be used for contextual messages about features or actions that users can take. They are also a great way to show new application changes in an unobtrusive way, helping users discover new features more easily.
- Embeds: are used to show content within your existing application elements. This can be used to pepper help blocks across your pages, and can be hidden as users start to successfully adopt your application.

- Total Views: number of total widget shows for the selected period. This includes both automatically and manually triggered widgets.
- Total Completions: number of total widget completions for the selected period.
- Average Completion Time: average selected widget completion time for the entire period.
- Widget Engagement Chart: shows how successfully users are completing your widgets after they start them.
- Average Completion Time Chart: shows the average widget completion time over time, indicating how long users take to complete the widget’s objective.
- Widget Sessions Table: displays all the times users have viewed the widget and how successfully they have completed its objective.
Some widget types, such as banners or modal windows, will not have a completion time, since their only objective is to be seen by the user. In this case, view and completion times will be equal.
